Oh my goodness, Cecilia...I couldn't be happier for you or those two gorgeous pups! I have thought a lot about you recently without an IG in your home and it broke my heart. I wish you failure in this endeavor...foster failure, that is. ;)

#154246 Home visit

Posted by alliesmom on 09 December 2014 - 04:52 AM

i have always wanted to help out with IG rescue and I got my opportunity last weekend. IG Rescue New England was looking for someone from RI to do a home visit because most of their rescue reps live in Massachusetts and over an hour's drive from RI. I offered to do it and after some discussion, they accepted my help. I was so excited! The couple that I visited actually had an IG in the past, but it was not from rescue. They seem like an amazing IG loving family and well equipped to handle the potential issues that may arise. I was at their house for over an hour and we had a really great interview. When I wrote up my report for the rescue rep, she said I was very insightful. I told her that I may not know everything, but I know my IGs...Tara, Allie and Riley have taught me well! I hope I can do more visits in the future.

#153834 Razzo, our boy and heart 11/21/2014

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful little man. I know there is nothing I can say to ease the pain you are feeling, but please know that my thoughts, my prayers and my heart go out to you. I will hold my girls extra tightly in Razzo's memory. Wishing you peace and comfort...

He is adorable but I don't envy you having to deal with that unrestrained puppy energy. My girls and I stopped by to visit my breeder a couple of weeks ago and there was a crazy adolescent there. Allie was so horrified by the obnoxious puppy behavior that she leapt into my arms and Riley took this puppy (who was bigger than her) down to the floor by the neck.

OMG...how sudden and horrible! You were the best momma ever to Lulu and she was so fortunate to have you to care for her. I am so very sorry. I wish I could say something to make the pain go away.

#151003 Gracie's Memorial at Camp

I love that the bookends are part of the Gracie memorial. I agree that the memorial should be allowed to stay up. Tara has been gone for almost 7 years and I still have pictures and a painting of her displayed.

Gerri, if anybody ever needed those bookends, it is you! It didn't take me a single heartbeat to make that decision when I heard of Gracie's passing. I knew they needed to get to you and pronto. I'm just glad they made it before the holiday. You have a special place in my heart. Don't ever leave IGW!
