I won't be getting the pup for at least another year, but I am definitely a "type A" planner, so I'm starting research a little early.
My childhood dog was a black lab mix, and the world's perfect dog. She currently lives with my parents, along with three year old Daisy, a border collie/ sight hound mix rescue and Sera, a six month old German Shepherd.
Daisy is my portal into sight hound owning. I love her personality, and the way she can burst quickly into a race with Sera, but is such a cuddler when it's time to relax. I was researching Whippets, because that's what we think she might be crossed with, when I stumbled upon Italian Greyhounds. I am absolutely in love. They seem like the perfect breed for me and my lifestyle. Next year I will be living in an apartment either alone or with one other person. Because I live a quiet college lifestyle, I want a companion. I crave a dog that needs constant adoration, because that is how I treat my parents' dogs.
I want to know the ins and outs of Italian Greyhound owning...everything there is to know about nutrition, exercise, proper socialization, health problems, personality quirks, etc.
I can't wait to learn about the excellent breed of Italian Greyhounds!
