It is with a heavy heart, that I am posting this message. Bosco passed away in the early morning today, at the age of 9 years old. He has been in rescue for quite some time, and just hadn't found his forever home yet. For the past day or two he was off his food, and his foster mom was planning to take him in to see the vet this morning. But he suddenly got very ill in the middle of the night, so his foster mom took him to the emergency vet. It turns out that he had a ruptured spleen (likely caused by an internal tumor). He never let on that he was in any kind of pain until late in the night. Up until the end, he was the sweet, smart boy we all knew and loved. The kindest thing to do was to let him go to the Rainbow Bridge. Though he hadn't been adopted, I think he had already found his forever home with his wonderful foster parents. They loved him very much. Today is a very sad day for our group, after losing such a wonderful dog. Bosco will be missed by many.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

So very sorry to hear of Bosco's passing. Thank you, rescue, for giving him a loving home. I have to believe my friend that passed away this weekend is running along side Bosco. Tracey was a true, true animal lover. I'm sure she is hanging out at the Rainbow Bridge!

Oh Michelle, no......... How sad for Bosco and his foster family. I'm so sorry he had not been adopted but in his heart he was home. I've been in that awful position with several of my former fosters and know the heartache. Fly free sweet boy. You were loved.
