Baby, a sweet little 5 year old red & white female, is up for adoption from For the Hounds in the Clemson/Greenville, SC area. http://forthehounds....ble-Hounds/baby She's in a great sighthound rescue, but she's looking for a forever home. She's absolutely gorgeous, so if you're looking for another pup and are in the area....In other words, please save me before I do something silly and adopt her myself. wink.gif Can you say major chipping episode? she is cute for sure, but I wish they didn't make the breed sound so fantastic. "love to run free" "very hardy breed" "sheds very little" They get a little more real towards the end, but really are highlighting not so accurate.

Sounds almost exactly like the description on the Dogs 101 segment on Animal Planet. I would call my two pups and my previous IG relatively robust for toy purebreds. At any rate, they keep running, crashing into each other and turning my hair grey, but they sure are having fun. We hear a lot about the problems on this forum, but I bet most of us have healthy IGs who run hard and play rough.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

Oh Linda, it's very evil trying to tempt me like that! I just keep trying to image what it would be like walking 3 dogs in the dark, not to mention how far out of joint Louie's nose would be. So far I'm being strong.

Baby was adopted yesterday so I'm safe for the moment. I'm glad she got a good forever home. Hopefully she will be the center of someone's world like my two are of mine. smile.gif

Since Linda at FTH told me that they were told to expect several IGs after Thanksgiving from a breeder that is closing down, next time may not be that far off. That may not happen though and I'm trying not to look at Petfinder anymore. laugh.gif

That little blue pup that was at the HS in Alpharetta and adopted...it's littermate was adopted at the PetSmart adoption event by a Member of the Atlanta Meet Up....they look identical.

I'm very relieved that they seem to have been adopted by people familiar with Iggies. I was so worried that someone unfamiliar with the breed would adopt that little girl and she'd end up with a broken leg or worse. I wondered how many other Iggies they had gotten. It wasn't very clear from the email I got from HS, but it sounded like at least two additional.
