Well, my little foster boy Ray will have been with us three months as of tomorrow, which I believe is longer than any other foster I have had. Strange that no one has snatched him up, seeing that he is a puppy (ten months or so) and cute as a bug. He does need a somewhat special home, given that he is leery of new people, but once he decides he likes you, man, you have to peel him off of you.

I hope somebody wants him soon, because the longer he is here, the more he feels like MY dog, and the more heart wrenching it will be to let him go. It will be easier around here without him, goodness knows, because being a puppy he is a lot of work. And it will be easier on the other dogs, because he is an attention hog, and it is hard to give everybody as much as they need. But he has really grabbed my heart. When he first arrived he was very fearful, and seemed mature beyond his young age, like a kid who has had to learn to live a tough life from early on. But while he remains a wise little soul, he is very much the goofy, carefree little soul, and his trust and devotion mean a great deal to me.

Sigh... my little Ray....

He is adorable, the right family for him is out there somewhere. I'd find it hard myself to say NO to that sweet face.
I hope he can find his forever home soon! Keep us posted please.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

Little Ray is so handsome. I don't know how you give any of them up...you are a special person to be a foster mommy. I'd be a foster failure for sure.

What? Your inbox isn't crammed full with requests for a blue and white puppy? That seems to be the national rescue #1 request. I'm stunned.

He is handsome and once he is in a permanent home and maybe has an obedience class under his belt his confidence may build. I can understand the insecurity of this little one. All they expect out of life is food, fun and to be adored. In return they'll protect us, love us no matter how badly we smell or how we look first thing in the morning and sooth our souls. Pretty good symbiotic relationship.

You go Ray, you good good boy

I am also surprised about nobody wanting a blue and white. We've got a lot of dark seal and seal/white adults around here right now, and all I hear is blue or fawn puppy, puppy, puppy! He's adorable! He hasn't found a family yet because the right ones just haven't shown up....but they will!
