After speaking with Yvonne tonight, and with her permission, I am here to say that the day after Yvonne posted Georgie's picture, he was tragically killed after breaking free of his lead and being hit by a car.
Yvonne, as I said to you on the phone, you will get through this...Georgie would want you to. He will always be your "heart dog" and be with you in spirit always. I'm here for you....anytime flowers1.gif 1.43KB 2 downloads igbridge.gif 2.78KB 8 downloads

I am so sorry for your loss. While your heart will take time to heal from the pain, your memories of all the good times you shared will always be there for you. Eventually the good memories will make you smile without bringing tears to your eyes.
I know Georgie was such a part of your life and shared a very close bond with you. Remember, despite all you did, sometimes things happen. You are not to blame. Don't tarnish his memory beating yourself up over what could have been done differently ... instead, remember him for what he was and the great times you shared.
I know he will always carry a special place in your heart, though he was taken far too young. You gave that boy the best life any Iggy anywhere could have asked for Yvonne, and that is the most important thing to remember. For every second of his precious life, he was loved and spoiled and cherished and wanted for nothing. No dog could ask for more.
Please call me anytime again when you are feeling up to it, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
I used to have a life, but my dogs ate it!

No matter how many times I read it, I still tear up over the loss of an IG. And Georgie was a cutie.
