We finally have things finalized and are ready for the fun!

IGCA of MN/ND is hosting a Spooktacular IG Playdate!

Saturday, October 30 12:00pm - 4:00pm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Location AllBreed Obedience & Behavioral School for Dogs
2441 Ventura Drive
Woodbury, MN

There will be an optional costume contest with prizes. There will also be drawings for door prizes and plenty of items for sale for the IG's also! We will have a grand prize drawing at 3:00 pm for a heated dog bed for your IG! You must be present to win.

There will be a required minimum donation of $5.00 per dog with all proceeds going to IG Rescue. Each dog that comes will have their choice of a toy or bag of treats to take home at the end of the day.

Rules:
*No females in heat.
*Males must wear belly bands. If you do not have one, there will be some there for sale.
*Responsibility for anything one dog should do to another (ie: biting) will be the responsibility of that dog's owner..but of course we don't expect any issues. Please keep an eye on your own dog for excessive humping, barking, etc as we want everyone to be able to have fun. We do have access to kennels that can be used for dogs if they just need to settle down and get a break from the craziness for awhile.
*The playdate is open to IG's only simply for safety reasons.

UPDATE:
*Holly of SpoiledBratzwear has sent some goodies to sell, so shop at the playdate and save on shipping! http://www.artfire.c...poiledbratzwear
*Julie of MadDog Delivers will be there with some free samples, as well as the opportunity for a discount on your dog food order! http://www.maddogdelivers.com/
*Terri Porthan of Noblewinds IG's has been working her tush off making belly bands.
*Kathryn Smith, a MN volunteer has made some fantastic collars.
*Julie Payne, the Midwest IGCA Coordinator, has made awesome collar/leash combos and some IG-safe vests.
*There will be tons of toys, treats, and random goodies (shampoo/conditioner, dog beds, blankets) to purchase.

**We also are extremely thankful to have Latte's dad, Andrew Brown, share his photography skills to take pictures for us! He will be there with his studio lighting, a backdrop, and printing equipment so he can print pictures right there! He will take pictures of your dog(s) only, or you and your dog(s) for an amazing price: 4x6 - $5.00, 5x7 - $7.00, 8.5x11 - $10.00, and 13x19 - $20.00. Proceeds are to be donated to Rescue.

*People may come to the location for pictures with any breed of dog if desired! The photography area will be separate from the IG's play area and you can sneak in for pictures and right back out if you desire. We will have a cute area set up for pictures to be taken. If you are just coming for photographs, you do not need to pay the $5.00 donation.

Please note: This playdate is hosted by IGCA Rescue, but any Italian Greyhound is more than welcome to come. The more, the merrier! In addition, if you do not have an IG but have been considering adding an IG to your family, please come and join us. Our available dogs that are fostered in the Minneapolis area will be there and will love to meet you!

Please feel free to forward this to anyone you feel may be interested.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

I"m so excited Michelle, I can't wait!
Unfortunately, Luigi & his Mom are not going to be able to make it. Bummer. She just found out that she has to be on call for work. I know she is disappointed.
Oooooo....pictures. That will be awesome. You can never have too many pictures of your iggy. Plus the proceeds go to rescue. thumbsyes.gif

Michelle that sounds like sooooooo much fun!!!!! I'm still trying to talk Jay into getting the 'dog house on wheels' ready to travel, but something about 1,000 miles one way on a week-end wasn't making him very happy wink.gif Sure hope that adorable Quincy finds a home (just wish we were closer!!!! I would love to have him wub.gif)

I'm mad that I read this too late. My aunt and I were just talking how they have many get togethers for pugs and not many for iggys. We would have probably went up there this weekend. Only bad thing about it is I dress up for halloweena and take my little sisters and cousins out trick or treating. It's kind of a drive to go and come back with my two dogs, especially Zeta miss small bladder LOL!! Also probably would have had to take the kids....NOPE!! smile.gif hahaha..... Hope everyone had fun!!!!
