Some of you will recall my posting about foster boy Ray, who was afraid of my husband, and followed him around, barking. I am happy to report that Ray has come a long way. My husband still can't generally just reach down and pet him from a standing position, but if he is sitting, or especially if he is in bed, Ray is very affectionate with him. The only time he barks at him now is if he is trying to get him to throw something that he can chase.
Here is a lousy, blurring photo- but it captures Ray just as he is about to lick hubby all over his face.

How sweet! I know the feeling of accomplishment/relief you must have felt the day he finally trusted him. I have had a hard time with Zeus warming up to men as well. He has just recently taken a liking to my dad, after owning him for almost 8 months. It was an ordeal, and then one day he was fine with him. In fact, I have lost my bed buddy to my parents when I am home for the weekends now. HA

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.
