A nice lady and her 12 year-old son came to check out Suki and Jet today. It took about 1 minute before they fell in love with Jet and Jet fell in love with them. After playing for about an hour and talking about Jet's personality, they left to "think about it" but really I think their minds are made up. I expect Jet to have a new family tomorrow!! I'm kind of happy and sad at the same time right now, but mostly happy I think! I wish Suki had shown better, but she just wouldn't warm up to them, even though the mom tried really hard to make friends. sad.gif Well, maybe they'll want a buddy for Jet later on! I think the fiance is going to try to check Jet out later today(he used to have an IG and got the family interested in getting one), but I think it's a done deal. Jet's been waiting for a boy to play with again!

Keeping fingers crossed for Jet, sounds like a great match spikey_biggrin.gif . I think sometimes dogs pick us, and Suki is just waiting for
her 'family/person' to show up. Thanks for taking care of these little ones, you guys are special angels thumbsup2.gif .

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

I hope it works out for Jet! Sounds good!
I agree with Renee, too! We fell in love with Sadie within minutes of meeting her and she watched us drive away and seemed to want to come with us.
Suki's perfect family will come along - hopefully, soon!

Jet's potential new family has come down with some kind of bug and they are all under the weather today, so it might be a few days before we hear back from them. They still sound committed to getting Jet, though!

There is a bug going around! Both my husband and I were sick with a bit of a stomach bug over the last couple of weeks (first him, than me) NO FUN!
I am really glad to hear they still sound committed to Jet. I hope they didn't leave any stomach bug germs when they were there to meet him! I don't want you or Eric to get sick.

I think we need to plan a play date soon! Frankie's birthday is coming up, he will be two years old! And with Jet finding a Forever family (and we recently hit Frankie's three month anniversary of his "Gotcha Day") we have plenty of reason to celebrate!!! I can't hold one here, but I am hoping we can find someone willing to host one, and that we can have one soon, and maybe Jet's new family can come! And I will try to find and/or make some special treats for the iggys in celebration of Frankie's bday. Maybe I'll just buy some Frosty Paws.

Anyway, at least you and Eric get a few more days with Jet before he goes to his new forever home. I'm sure he's ready to be with his new boy. :D

Well, if we can't find anywhere better we can always have something over here. I have a decent-sized yard for iggies, and the house is pretty much dog-proof thanks to Suki testing it out all the time! smile.gif
