Miss Rosie Lump Lump my foster girl since Sept 09 (who was recently adopted by me) has been helped to the bridge due to the ravages of hemangiosarcoma. She finally started to bleed internally and that was not acceptable as diginity upon crossing is mandatory in my eyes. She had a real last name and a big bed to sleep in during her last few months. She also had love and wonderful vet care.

When Linda picked her up from Animal Control it was apparent she had a life of neglect. Rescue and it's volunters and vet Rose Eger worked hard to bring her through some rough times. She was always sweet and tolerant despite all her surgeries. She and pal Jessica went for a small walk this morning and a treat of yogurt. She passed quietly in my arms knowing love.

Rose's legacy will be evident years from now when her participation in a cancer research study yields results to better fight this particular disease.

Sleep well, sweet faced Rosie. You will be missed by momma and all your doggy family.

Thank you Vicky for allowing her participation, dogs everywhere are applauding. Blessings to you for being her last and loving home, for giving her a peace she may never have known. Run free Rosie!

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

Thank you Vicky for fostering and then adopting Rose so she could live her final days in the security of her own home. I'm so sorry for the loss you must feel now that she is at the Bridge. I will say a prayer for you and Rose.
Regards from Deb, Allie (6/1/07), and Riley (2/20/09)

Rosie was just the sweetest soul. I had never had a senior around my wild and crazy girls, but when Rosie came into the house.....my girls sensed that she was more "delicate" and did not do anything to get her upset. She truely blossomed in Vicky's care....that's when her life as a loved pet began. The last act of love we can give our pets is to be with them at the end. Thank you Vicky. sosad.gif

What a sweet sounding girl- I know she must have truly appreciated a loving home and family for her last days. Now she will no longer be held back by her body's injuries and neglect and can run free!

These last few months of Rose's life were blessed by you. Thank God, you were there to finally give this sweet little girl all the love she deserved and should have known.
That Rose will be helping other dogs through the study is a wonderful legacy!
Run carefree and happy, little Rose!
