I just got a new foster in late this afternoon. He is/was a very well loved dog, given excellent care, etc. But there was a divorce, the wife isn't at home as much as is necessary, and the husband is relocating to another country due to work. The husband dropped him off with me this afternoon, and was not the least bit happy about it. The poor dog is pretty miserable right now, whining and shivering and wondering what in the heck happened. My fosters are usually dropped off by somebody else from rescue after they have already undergone the initial trauma. It is so hard to see the little guy feeling so bad. I know that he will adjust and be ok in a few days, but it sure makes me sad for now.
I will post pics and happier info in a few days when he has settled. He is a beautiful dog.

Poor boy... It must be so tough for you to face the situation. Of course for the boy too!! But I believe an expert like you will be able to make him feel better soon. And reading your post,he sounds very sweet boy and will be able to find new home soon. Give him kisses for me.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

Oh Gwen...if anyone can give a dog back his feelings of safety and security - it would be you.

Poor little guy! I know he will settle in just fine with you.
What his name, color and age?
I can't wait for some happy pictures.
