This IG got loose in Largo FL and then after fliers were handed out somebody left the dog's leash and collar on the owner's doorstep!

Permission to crosspost!!!!

The owner is sick over this and I told her I would let as many people know as possible.

"His name is Diesel. He is less than a year old although he is tall for an ig. He is white with gray spots over each eye and a round spot on his back right hand side. I was walking him when two big dogs came after us and before i could pick him up he bolted and theleash jerked out of my hand. Last seen clw/largo road and 8th ave. Feb.4th at around 9pm. We have went door to door asking everyone and leaving our number also make fliers with pictures. "

If anybody has seen this dog please contact me ASAP!

That is so sad....obviously someone has him and it taunting the owner by letting them know that they have him and are not returning him. He is very unique and if the people that have him remain in the general area...if all vets are notified....maybe someone will recognize him and call the owners. Those people/person is a sick puppy.

How sad it is! That is kidnap isn't it? I never never forgive the person who did such horrible things! I can't imagine how painful for you to wait for him come back. I am praying so hard for Largo to be found safe.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

OMG...what a horrible thing to do...leaving the leash on the doorstep like that. I hope Diesel is returned unscathed. The poor owners!

Though a process called "behavior attribution" we automatically and unconsciously make judgements on a person's character based upon their actions and those characterizations are most often unkind. This act doesn't necessarily indicate that a sick, mean person found the dog, desires to keep him and is taunting his people. The person who found the dog and left the leash and collar may not have found a living animal.

ok...I agree....the dog could have been killed...but not knowing is worse than knowing the truth. Why, if you found deceased dog, and knew where to take the leash and collar would you not face the owners in person to let them know their pet was dead? If you killed the dog with your car....why even return the collar and leash with no explanation as to what happened? I would be easier to just do nothing. By just leaving a collar and leash....it still leaves the owners knowing zip about where their dog is and what happened to it. Even a note would have been nice.

If that happened to me.....I would not think it was done by anyones good intentions. I'd be VERY angry.

I have put out the alert with eveyone I know to be on the watch for this dog. I live close to this area, my church is at that intersection.
I cant imagine what happened to this dog, but there is a large park about 3 blocks away. These guys can bolt so fast.. and I can easily
see how this could happen. I only hope if someone has him, that he will pee all over their house and complain very loudly so they will
return him to his owner. sad.gif
