It is with devastation and great saddness that I finally write this. For years, I have dreaded and prayed this day would never happen. Unfortunately, it has really happened and it was suddenly. We never even saw it coming. We are still in shock. I keep asking myself WHY? I've saved him from IMHA and Heart Disease, CHF twice and a dog attack. WHY couldn't I this time? Logan explained to me, this time his SOUL had to go. He had no choice. He sends his LOVE everyday and waits for me at Rainbow Bridge.
Logan started breathing hard so we rushed him to the vet. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia. After a week of antibiotics and no progress he stopped eating and things progressed. Logan has had Heart Disease for 5 years now. He beat the odds of other dogs because he was a tripod. He didn't stress his heart much. Mostly, he slept in his bed and enjoyed being loved. They vets still aren't even sure if possibly he didn't have Lung Cancer, because he did not respond to treatment. But, it doesn't matter now to me. He was gone in 9 days, far too quickly.
I fortunately had this summer off so I spent June, July and August with him. I took pictures of him. Gave him a 15th Birthday Party and took him to playdates. Logan enjoyed life as usual. I was so glad his Iggy freinds came to his birthday party this year at Savvy Dog Boutique. Logan was special and enjoyed all his friends and comforts at home. His brothers Savvy and Ripley and sister PJ have been depressed, but they are getting extra LOVE these days.
I made a website with pictures of him at: www.loganbellangelo.shutterfly.com I hope you all visit it to see Logan.
Also, here are some pictures of Logan for you to enjoy too. And, thank you to all of you who over the years have helped me save this Sweet Angel Logan. Your advice has always helped me do the best for him. Thanks!
Logan, PJ Ripley and Savvy
