Another IG on Craigs List

This is the email I wrote to him:
Your Italian Greyhound is gorgeous. I am a Volunteer with Italian Greyhound Club of America Rescue. As an owner of 6 IGs (I picked up #6 from North Miami Humane Society only a week ago after she was adopted out and returned because the owners knew nothing of the breed and couldn't deal)...I am keeping "Mea" myself. It is my job to check all the shelters from Stewart to Miami, looking for IGs in need of Rescuing. I am one of the Volunteers who will pick up the IGs at the shelters and take them to Rescue where they are cared for until they are able to be adopted to a loving home.
I would like you to please consider Rescue if you must give up your IG. IGCA Rescue makes any potential applicant go through a rigorous home inspection, insure that applicants have funds available just in case of emergencies, and know about the Breed. Most people who go through rescue to adopt an IG have already had an IG or are adding "just one more" to their families.
Right now, our Rep in Melbourne has several families waiting for just the right IG to love and care for. I would hate for your boy to go to someone just because they love the look of a "mini IG" but not really know the Breed and their demands. I cannot tell you how many IGs get turned in because people do not realize what they are getting themselves into.
I would hate to see your IG on a shelter website because someone off of Craigs List did not know what they were getting into...or see it posted again on Craigs List as a new pet needing to be re-homed. Rescue can find the perfect family for your beautiful IG.
If you would like to discuss this further, just reply and I'll send you my contact phone number as well as our Florida Rep in Melbourne, who I will be seeing on Sunday at Rescue Roundup in downtown Melbourne.
