This was posted on another forum and was told to pass it along.

"There are 2 female IG's in a shelter here in middle Tennessee. The shelter is high kill and Im am trying to figure out what I can do to help. I'm first of all trying to find out if the place is even open today. Anyone have any suggestions!?! If I got them out of the shelter would rescue take them from there?"

Me and a friend of mine are willing to pull these two but can not home them. Is there any rescue that would be able to help out, or an individual? I don't know any further information on these two but will post as I know more.

I would suggest contacting the Georgia rep, maybe they have contacts closer to you. I'm looking for who that is right now.

The Shelters are all closed in Florida today..I know some shelters, like the the one in West Palm, will try to adopt out any dog that is healthy. If it doesn't get adopted, they will call Rescue to pick it up..then there are some that will automatically call IG Rescue to pick them up. The boy, Charlie, that was in our kill shelter for 2 weeks waiting for it's owner to pick it up...was finally put up for adoption on Tuesday night..by Wednesday mornng, it had been adopted.

I also believe any Breed Rescue will need to have their paperwork already on file with the Shelters in oreder to prove it is a legitimate Rescue Organization..501©3

THank you for taking the time to follow up on the two IGs....it makes a huge difference.
