I picked up a new foster 2 weeks ago-Salieri, named after the Italian composer. We've been calling him Sali for short.  I think he's about 8 years old, and super well behaved! No marking in the house at all! He is also super overweight right now-he weighed 25 pounds on my scale, guessing he needs to lose 10-11 pounds for sure. He goes in for a dental tomorrow and based on his stinky breath I am expecting a few extractions. I think in a few months he's going to be in great shape! smile.png

You guys are awesome. His face reminds me so much of our last foster Minka that it makes me smile. I bet he's going to look great when you get him back into handsome greyhound form!

Thank you for being a foster home.  I can't wait to see him thrive in foster care!

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

You are such an angel to these rescues in need! Sali looks like a really good guy. Wish him luck on his diet for me.

Well, he got SIXTEEN extractions, poor baby! Seems to be doing okay this morning, though! I'll let him chill out for another day or so, but can't wait for some walks around the neighborhood to slim this big boy down!

OUCH! Poor guy. He'll feel better in the long run, but sounds like he gets to take it easy for the next few days!
