8 years ago today....."Star" passed just shy of her 15th Birthday......she was my first IG and all of my 3 daughters grew up with her. She did everything with us. We always took her on family vacations.....she was my shadow. This video was taken a few months before her little body started to fail.....I was sending a web video to my friend.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

Your video is precious, Linda. Star was a beautiful girl and so lucky to grow old with you and your family. As I remember Tara today, I will think of Star, too. As the years go by, these anniversaries don't get any easier, do they?

I know Star had a full and healthy life....and I knew as she grew old that I would never be without an IG......but knowing that it was "time" was the hardest thing I had to do.....but as a pet owner, something you have to face. I would never NOT be with her at the end, no matter how hard.

Tara was such a lovely girl......and her tragedy.....I can't even imagine. But, you have given the best advice on safety to new IG owners because of what you went through.... (((hugs to us both)))

Star's Memorial in my bedroom..her favorite room in the house of course. In the Peacock is the white fur tip off her tail that I saved. All my pets ashes will be mixed with mine.

BIG HUGS to you both Linda & Deb.

Linda....
How wonderful that you had Star with you for so many years. You actually had 4 girls. She just happened to have 4 legs & a tail.

Deb....
I am so sorry that sweet Tara was unable to spend more time with you. Your precious girl enriched so many peoples lives.

I will be thinking of you both and your beautiful girls today. xoxo
Taffy sends lots of kisses.
