My family adopted 2 rescued IGs this past May, littermates Vinny and Bella - age 9. We are so happy with these sweet little dogs, and enjoy them thoroughly. We were very fortunate they came to us very well potty trained, though accidents still happen and we're still learning. My children, ages 10 and 7 have been great nurturers for them and learned quickly to be gentle in their handling. Little Bella (10 lbs.) has done wonders for my 10 year old son's night time sleep anxieties. She is happily curled up with him every night, and he loves having her right beside him to pet, talk to, or just feel close to. Vinny, who came to us weighing about 20 lbs., is much larger in stature (I've been told he's the size of a small Whippet) and I believe has a touch of ADHD! He is very loving and well behaved, but does not do well sleeping with others during the night because he gets up when he's good and ready, no matter how early! He seems to do much better crated at night with a big, soft quilt to curl up in. I am still very new to their habits though, and am hoping to get some feedback on general questions I have with them. I am happy this site is here, and look forward to meeting other IG owners.
