Fostering these guys has been wonderful! They are so good and I am sad that I can't adopt them.
I made promises to myself and Gerry that we wouldn't adopt for at least a year after Razzo passed.
We have extensive travel plans for this year etc.
Now, it is time to head back to NY and they haven't gotten adopted yet. Shy (Sheyenne) and Dilly (Dillinger) will be going to another foster home tomorrow. They have blossomed so much. They now play with toys! They love meal time now too. They are so good, the only barrier to a quick adoption is the idea that we'd like them to stay together.
I will miss them so much

They were lucky to have landed in your home. I think it is amazing that you could foster, so soon after losing Razzo. I'm sure the perfect home will come along soon for them. Safe travels to New York.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

It's clear that they've blossomed because they were under your loving care  Enjoy NY. I am sure they will do well in their next foster home and find a forever home soon too.

Their new foster mom sent me an update and picture. They are doing okay, she thinks they miss having us with them all day ( the new foster family is a young working couple, not us old retirees😛).
But they are playing and eating well, which is great since it took them a long time with us to relax and know they were/are loved.
Two peas in a pod💞

Ohhhhh....

It has to be rough for you Cecilia.  You showed them what love was.  They have to adjust now,  but hopefully they will have some one that needs double the iggy luvin.
