I am sure that many of you who came from the old orginal IG forum remember Claudia, who lives in Belgium and has the jewell hounds. She touched many of our hearts with her devotion to a little IG puppy named Yentl, who was born with a birth defect and ultimately had to be put down.
I learned just awhile ago that one of her dear IG's, Amadeo, passed last December. It made me very sad, as I always felt a special fondness for her pack. This is the portrait I just finished of him.
p.s. I am hoping that Claudia might join here. I am sure I am not the only one who misses her.

  • Interests:My main interest is loving and caring for my 2 IG girls, Allie and Riley, as well as my cat, Sabrina. I adore all animals, but I have a passion for IGs. This passion began with my first IG, Tara, who is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I love anything that involves IGs; spending time with Allie and Riley, attending East Coast IG Rescue events, SHOPPING for Allie's and Riley's wardrobes, and of course, communicating with other IG Whispers members. Aside from IGs, my interests include reading a variety of genres and being with friends and family, especially my 13 year old niece, Ella. Professionally, I am a reading specialist for first and second grades. Although I enjoy teaching, the best thing about my job is the long summer vacation, during which I am free to spend endless hours with Allie and Riley.

I remember Claudia we found out that her girl and My Grandog Kaitlyn were sisters :) Kaitlyn wound up in rescue years ago with a shattered front paw. Deb was fostering her and I saw her on the forum and contacted her. once she healed my son and I adopted her. Claudia had been looking for her for ages :) Sad to hear about Amedeo. And I know Claudia herself had some serious heath problems. I hope she is ok.

What a beautiful portrait. I remember Claudia also and her beautiful pack. I think she came on this forum once and wrote about her loss of Amadeo. I was so shocked to hear that, as he was really young. I, as most of us, had developed a soft spot for her and her pack. Please let her know we miss her.
