A friend who is involved in the show world contacted me some months back about doing a memorial portrait of a much loved dog named Hershey, who had a long and successful show career. Here is the painting I did of Hershey and his dear person. Pardon the crummy cropping. I have a proper jpeg somewhere....
p.s. edited to add that the lady, Nona, has arthritis in her hands. I wouldn't want you folks to think I can't paint hands.... I felt that for the painting I would have to be true to reality.

What a sweet and beautiful portrait of this beloved dog and his person. I'm sure the recipient of this gift will be absolutely touched. Beautiful job.

Gwen, you brought forth so much tenderness in that portrait. Thanks for sharing it.
