The Waiting Game.

waiting, new puppy, school

We'll see if I can actually keep these up! This is one of the first forums I have been on where I have felt completely open to share, to become friendly, and to really be fully active and have friendships. I love forums for learning purposes, and having some close friendships would really benefit me here.

On that note, I am practically wiggling...

Leash boy

Posted by AnIGma in Life in the zoo, 01 August 2012 - - - - - - · 2,413 views

For the time being I've decided to keep a leash attached to Harry when he's not in his crate. My big challenge with him is getting him to poop outside on a leash. He's used to pooping in privacy while turned out in the back yard. I don't have a back yard so he needs to learn to do it on leash. If left to his own devices Harry will take off...

We've added new words.

His newest commands are...
"Off" = take mouth off my hand if he's accidentally mistaken me for a chew toy, or trying to take something out of my hand (i.e. a treat)
"Place" = go sit on the pillow/placemat that I point to
"Bow" ... still in progress. I click at the exact...

Lacey has too much energy and Vito and I are overweight so I've decided to go jogging with them around the community in the evenings when it gets a little cooler. Yesterday was our first attempt at it and it was pretty fun but they were tripping me up with their too leashes. Today I busted out the leash splitter I bought a few weeks ago and never used....

Doggies are home now!

Posted by TheSeckers in The Secker's Blog, 29 June 2011 - - - - - - · 2,063 views

My husband and I picked up our puppies on Friday and they are already the loves of my life! We are currently going through potty training (not so much fun) but the boys are doing so great! Any accidents they ever have are from us not paying attention because they really try to hold it. We took them to play with my brother's 3 italian greyhounds...

so on thursday 3-11-2010 Starbuck didn't eat breakfast, and had a rumbly tummy, I went to do my hair and came home 6 hours later, tried to feed her again, didn't work, she started acting funny, rolling her back up and arching weird, walking funny, and sometimes side ways.  then I noticed that the tip of her tail was bent in half!  she was NOT...

Hello, i am a fairly new (9 months) owner of 2 rescued IGs.  They are 9 year old littermates, and the male - Vinny, has really been struggling with a few issues i need help with as I'm still trying to understand this breed.  First, he's about 24lbs, which is about the size he came to us as, and we've been dealing with it with no success.  He is...

In the Face of Rage... ...RUN!

Posted by Samma in The Lexington Zoo, 14 January 2010 - - - - - - · 1,627 views

Feb. 17th

Jolt had never run so fast in his very short life.

But then again, fleeing for his life through the halls of the Autobot base was by far worth watching the EPIC LOOK OF INTENSE, VILLAGE-BURNING RAGE on Ratchet's face after the Chevrolet Volt brained him between the optics with a paintball from a gun he built himself .... was...

Zoe my rescue baby rescued us too.

Posted by in Zoe and Roxie, 02 December 2009 - - - - - - · 1,475 views

Every day living with the Zoe monster is an adventure. She is like an active toddler, always into something interesting. Sometimes she is content to snuggle in the sweetest way. She asks to have her ears sniffled and is in doggie heaven when I do. When she wants to sleep under the covers she'll bark at me as she lays there, hoping I'll either pull...

Pneumo its your gotcha day, I am remarkably sullen and sad.  I feel as if I let you down so much today.  Thw sun was so warm today, you would have loved it so.  I miss you, I wish I could have done more, I would do anything to feel you curled up against me again.

Nero calms down

Mom's Blurbs...

Nero came to meet baby Yadon... he leaps onto the bed, bows a few feet from the new addition, and sniffs.  Then he crept closer while studying my reaction to his approach.  Perhaps the  dogs can visit baby Ya more often.  :American Flag:
